Do guys liked to be picked up at the bar is a question I have received a number of times, so I want to give my opinion on this from my experience.
I asked a group of guys what they thought on this, and it was split across the board.
The single guys said 'that would be great!', and the guys in relationships said 'I get enough attention from my woman at home, I just want to drink with my buddies at the bar'.
So...what should you do if you spot a guy that you are dying to chat with? Do you go talk to him and initiate?
What you MIGHT find if you do this however, is the guys you end up hitting on, say no (women seem to be attracted to guys in relationships because they have higher confidence)...then your confidence might drop and it will show.
What I would recommend, is just give off signs, and if you'd really like to talk to him but he looks so timid (and you think it's cute), walk up and say something like 'why haven't you come and talked to me yet, I've been waiting for you!?', then see how he responds.
I know a lot of great guys that have a hard time initiating, especially at a bar, so a lot of women just meet the guys who approach them, not always the guys they want approaching them.
Be careful with it. If you don't mind getting shot down, you have nothing to lose...but if you are, play it carefully, try and get his attention, and as a last resort, do a quick initiation which puts the pressure on him.
